Our Specialties

Implants

  • Dental implants are a long-lasting, natural-looking solution for replacing missing teeth—without affecting neighboring teeth like traditional bridges. The process begins with placing a small titanium post into the jawbone, which heals over 3–6 months as it fuses with the bone. Once healed, an abutment and custom crown are attached to complete your smile. The result is a secure, durable restoration that looks and feels just like a natural tooth.

  • Mini dental implants are smaller than traditional implants, making them ideal for narrow spaces or stabilizing full dentures. Often placed without the need for incisions, they offer a quicker recovery and more affordable option for tooth replacement. They’re commonly used to secure lower or upper dentures, providing comfort and stability. Ask us if mini implants are right for you!

Cosmetic

  • SureSmile Clear Aligners use a series of custom, removable trays to gradually straighten your teeth with comfort and precision. Your dentist will digitally scan your teeth and work with the SureSmile® Digital Lab to create a personalized treatment plan. Each set of aligners gently moves your teeth closer to their ideal position—from your first tray to your last. Backed by over 20 years of experience and powered by Dentsply Sirona, SureSmile offers a trusted, modern approach to a confident smile.

  • Everyday habits like coffee, wine, and smoking can dull your smile over time. Our professional tray whitening system helps restore brightness—often whitening teeth by 4 to 8 shades. We create custom trays for at-home use, paired with a powerful yet safe gel, so you can achieve noticeable results comfortably and effectively.

  • Veneers are thin, custom-made ceramic shells that cover the front of your teeth—perfect for correcting chips, stains, gaps, or misalignment. In just a few visits, we design and place your veneers to match your ideal smile. After preparing your teeth and taking impressions, we fit you with beautiful temporaries while your permanent veneers are crafted by a trusted lab. Once ready, the final veneers are securely bonded in place for a long-lasting, natural-looking result.

Periodontic

  • Periodontal disease, or gum disease, is a common infection that can lead to tooth loss if untreated. Unlike gingivitis, it affects the deeper tissues around your teeth and can’t be fully controlled by brushing and flossing alone. Research also suggests it may be linked to other health concerns like heart disease and diabetes.
ARESTIN® is a targeted antibiotic treatment placed directly into infected gum pockets after deep cleaning (scaling and root planing). It helps fight infection right at the source, supporting your healing and oral health.

  • The frenulum is a small piece of tissue connecting your lips or tongue to your gums. When it’s too tight or thick, it can cause speech issues, tooth misalignment, or feeding difficulties in infants. A frenectomy is a quick, minor procedure—done with a scalpel or gentle laser—to release the tissue and improve movement. It typically takes under 15 minutes, with minimal discomfort and fast healing. For children, it’s performed safely under anesthesia, and adults receive local anesthesia. This simple procedure can make a big difference in comfort and development.

  • Gum disease begins quietly as plaque and tartar build-up, causing irritation known as gingivitis. If untreated, it can progress to periodontitis, damaging gums and the bone that supports your teeth—often without pain or obvious symptoms. Beyond tooth loss, gum disease has been linked to heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and pregnancy complications. The good news? Modern dental care makes treatment easier and less painful than ever, helping you protect your smile and overall health.

  • Gingivitis is the early stage of gum disease caused by plaque and tartar buildup, leading to inflamed, bleeding gums. It’s common and easily treated with a professional cleaning called scaling, which removes buildup from your teeth. If untreated, it can progress and require root planing—a deeper cleaning that smooths tooth roots to remove infection. Both procedures are non-surgical and usually painless, often done without anesthesia. Treatment is typically spread over multiple visits to ensure comfort and proper healing.

  • Do you wake up with sore jaws or feel your bite is uneven? An occlusal adjustment may help. This gentle procedure corrects bite alignment caused by loose, shifting, or missing teeth, evenly distributing pressure across your mouth. Using precise dental tools and advanced computer scans, we make minimal adjustments to ensure your teeth meet properly—reducing discomfort, sensitivity, and jaw tension. Protective mouthpieces may be used afterward to support healing and muscle relaxation. If you experience jaw pain, grinding, or uneven bite pressure, an occlusal adjustment could be the solution. Schedule a visit to find out if it’s right for you.

  • Loose teeth can be uncomfortable and worrying, making everyday activities like eating or chewing difficult. Teeth may loosen due to gum loss, injury, orthodontics, or misalignment. Tooth splinting is a simple, effective technique that bonds loose teeth together using composite material—creating a stable, stronger unit. This quick procedure often focuses on front teeth, helping restore comfort and confidence. Don’t let loose teeth hold you back; splinting can provide lasting support and peace of mind.

Pediatric

  • Sealants are a simple, effective way to shield your molars—the teeth most prone to cavities—from decay. Best applied when these teeth first emerge (around ages 5–7 and 11–14), sealants create a protective barrier by painting a liquid coating that hardens over the tooth’s surface. This helps keep out plaque, food, and bacteria. Sealants typically last about 10 years and can be reapplied as needed to keep your smile healthy.

Endodontics

  • Endodontics focuses on treating the nerves inside your teeth, most commonly through root canals. When a tooth becomes infected, removing the infected nerve tissue prevents serious complications like abscesses and bone loss. The procedure starts with numbing the area, then cleaning out the infection inside the tooth’s root canal. The space is sealed, and a crown is recommended to protect and restore the tooth.

Though root canals have a scary reputation, modern techniques and anesthesia make the process comfortable and nearly pain-free. After treatment, any soreness is temporary and easily managed with over-the-counter pain relief. Most importantly, a root canal eliminates infection pain, helping you enjoy your favorite foods again. If you’re experiencing tooth pain, don’t wait—schedule an appointment today.

Additional Services

Bonding and White Fillings

  • We use tooth-colored resin to repair cavities, close gaps, and correct chips or stains—restoring your smile with natural-looking results. The material is sculpted to match your tooth and hardened with a special light, offering a smooth, polished, and long-lasting finish.

  • Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth, available as full or partial sets depending on your needs. Full dentures replace all teeth and come in two types: conventional dentures, placed after your gums have healed following tooth removal, and immediate dentures, fitted and placed right after extraction to avoid time without teeth. Partial dentures fill gaps when some natural teeth remain and function similarly to a removable bridge.

Getting used to dentures may take time as they can feel bulky or loose at first, affecting speech and eating. With adjustment, they begin to feel more natural and improve your quality of life. Proper care includes daily brushing to remove plaque, soaking them in room-temperature water or cleaning solution, and handling with care to avoid damage. Never try to adjust dentures yourself—always consult your dentist for a proper fit and comfort.

Dentures

  • At our office, we’re committed to providing top-quality dental care and service. To keep your smile healthy and bright, maintaining a strong personal oral hygiene routine is essential — and we’re here to help you build one that works. If you have any questions about your current routine, just ask.

Remember, healthy gums are just as important as healthy teeth. We offer periodontal cleanings and treatments, and can refer you to trusted specialists if needed. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Dental Hygiene and Periodontal Health

  • Dental bridges offer a strong, natural-looking solution to replace missing teeth by anchoring a false tooth to reshaped neighboring teeth. Crafted from durable materials like porcelain or metal, bridges are custom-made from a dental mold while a temporary bridge protects your mouth. Once permanently bonded, bridges restore your smile and function, helping prevent bite problems and maintaining oral health. After a short adjustment period, your bridge will feel just like your own teeth.

Bridges

  • Wisdom teeth often cause issues when they grow in at an angle (impacted) or only partially emerge, leading to pain, infection, or difficulty cleaning. When problems arise, extraction is recommended to prevent complications.

The procedure involves numbing the area with local anesthesia or sedation. The gum tissue is opened to access the tooth, which is then loosened and removed. If necessary, the tooth may be broken into pieces for easier extraction. Dissolvable sutures are sometimes used to close the site.

Post-surgery, rest is essential, and you’ll need someone to drive you home. Expect some bleeding—changing gauze as needed—and avoid lying flat to promote healing. Follow pain management instructions and use ice packs to reduce swelling. Soft foods like yogurt, pudding, and mashed potatoes are best for several days, and avoid straws or smoking, as these can disrupt healing.

If bleeding lasts over 24 hours, or if you experience ongoing pain or swelling, contact your dentist for follow-up care.

Extractions

  • TMJ (temporomandibular joint) connects your lower jaw to your skull and controls jaw movement like chewing. Pain or dysfunction in this joint or surrounding muscles may indicate temporomandibular disorder (TMD), often caused by stress, jaw clenching, or teeth grinding.

    Common TMD symptoms include:

    • Pain when opening or closing the mouth

    • Difficulty chewing

    • Jaw locking open or shut

    • Headaches or ear pain

    • Clicking or popping sounds

    • Teeth grinding

Because these symptoms overlap with other conditions, a professional diagnosis is necessary. Teeth grinding (bruxism) can wear down enamel, causing sensitivity and increasing decay risk.

If you suspect TMD, schedule a consultation. Treatment options include pain relief, hot/cold compresses, and night guards to reduce grinding. Behavioral therapies often help, while surgery is rarely needed.

TMJ

  • Over time, teeth can weaken from decay, cracks, or wear, and when a filling isn’t enough, a dental crown can restore strength and beauty to your smile. Made from durable materials like porcelain or gold, crowns are custom-crafted to blend naturally with your teeth. The process involves reshaping the tooth, taking a mold, and fitting a temporary crown while your permanent one is made—usually within a few weeks. Once placed, your crown will protect the tooth and look just like your natural smile. With proper care, crowns can last 10-15 years, helping you maintain a healthy, confident smile.

Crowns

  • When a tooth is removed, it’s important to plan for how to manage the empty space. Wisdom teeth typically heal on their own without issues, but other teeth require attention. Leaving an extraction site empty can cause the jawbone to shrink and surrounding teeth to shift, which may affect your bite, speech, and chewing.

If you choose a dental implant, a strong jawbone is needed for placement. For a dental bridge, the bridge should be fitted before teeth shift occurs.

Your dentist will discuss your options and create a treatment plan before the extraction. Be sure to schedule follow-up visits to care for the site properly.

Extraction Site Preservation

  • Bruxism, or teeth grinding, often occurs during sleep and can lead to enamel damage, worn teeth, jaw pain, and irritated gums. It may also disturb your partner’s sleep.

A custom-fitted night guard can help protect your teeth by creating a barrier between the upper and lower jaws. Made from an impression of your teeth, night guards are comfortable, durable, and can last up to 10 years.

To reduce grinding, avoid chewing on pens or gum, limit alcohol and caffeine, and practice keeping your jaw relaxed. If you think you may be grinding your teeth at night, schedule a consultation to explore solutions.
